As one of the leading companies in Türkiye’s automotive aftermarket industry, Basbug Group celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first company, Başbuğ Auto Spare Parts, with a magnificent gala at Çırağan Palace.

During the night, Halit Başbuğ, Member of the Board of Directors, and Anıl Yücetürk, General Manager of Basbug Group, shared their vision for the future with distinguished guests, delivering messages that resonated across the entire industry.

A Half-Century of Success: From Anadol to a Global Brand

Basbug Group began its commercial journey in 1974 with the retail and wholesale of spare parts for Anadol, Türkiye’s first domestically produced automobile. Marking this 50-year milestone, the company celebrated the anniversary of its flagship brand Başbuğ Auto Spare Parts with an exclusive event held at Çırağan Palace.

Among the distinguished guests were top executives from leading domestic and international automotive companies. Chairman of the Board Adnan Başbuğ, Vice Chairman Muzaffer Başbuğ, Board Member Halit Başbuğ, Basbug Group Board Member İsmail Başbuğ, and General Manager Anıl Yücetürk hosted their guests first at the terrace cocktail reception, followed by a gala dinner in the ballroom.

“Ask For More!” -The Motto of the Next 50 Years

The event began with the screening of a short documentary highlighting Basbug Group’s 50-year journey. In his opening speech, Halit Başbuğ announced the company’s 50th anniversary motto:

“Ask for More!” He added, “Our brand will be recognized globally for its achievements in the next 50 years.” Highlighting the automotive industry’s pioneering role in technological transformation, he stated: “Born in Türkiye, Basbug Group will emerge in the next half-century as a deeply rooted global company.”

Aiming to Reduce Carbon Footprint to Near Zero

Basbug Group’s General Manager Anıl Yücetürk emphasized that the group has now become a strong global player.

He noted that the company’s goal is to become the first spare parts company to reduce its carbon footprint to near-zero levels.

Yücetürk added: “We attach great importance to strengthening our technological infrastructure and increasing the integration of artificial intelligence. Enhancing customer experience and expanding the active use of our B4B system are also among our top priorities.”

TEMOT International and TATCOM Among Special Guests

The gala hosted many distinguished guests, including representatives from TEMOT International, a global organization bringing together the world’s leading aftermarket companies, and its Türkiye affiliate TATCOM. During his speech, Fotios Katsardis, CEO and President of TEMOT International, described Basbug Group as “one of the most influential players in the industry.”

Spectacular Shows for a Special Night

Hosted by Ezgi Avcı, the Basbug Group 50th Anniversary Gala featured an evening filled with music and celebration. The cocktail reception was accompanied by a performance from violin virtuoso Ceren Aksan & Trio Band, followed by a gala dinner featuring renowned jazz musicians Fatih Erkoç — a celebrated singer, composer, and songwriter — and pianist/composer Kerem Görsev. Adding energy and rhythm to the night, the Flying Drummers Show delivered a stunning performance that made the 50th anniversary celebration truly unforgettable.
